Section - II

Post Snap Responsibilities Breakdown

  • PUNT Snap & Block with Live Rush -- Snappers must first execute their snap then make the block against a live rusher. For the block to count, the snapper must engage into the rushers chest/side and continue with the block for 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

  • PUNT Snap & Block with Live Rush plus Cover -- Snappers must first execute their snap then make the block against a live rusher. For the block to count, the snapper must engage into the rushers chest/side and continue with the block for 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage. After they have surpassed 4 yards, the snapper must then release past the rusher and sprint through the designated cones.

  • PUNT Snap & Release past cones with waiting backer -- Snappers must first execute their snap then release past the cones. Waiting for them will be a linebacker attempting to block the snapper off his path and outside of the designated tunnel.

  • PUNT Snap on Cadence & Release past cones within time limit -- Snappers must first execute their snap AFTER the designated cadence calls. They will then attempt to sprint pass the cones under a set time limit.

  • PAT/FG Snap on Cadence -- Snappers must execute their snap AFTER the designated cadence calls.

  • PAT/FG Snap on Cadence & Block -- Snappers must first execute their snap AFTER the designated cadence calls then execute a PAT/FG Block on air.
